How to Renew Your Items
With your SEU login and password, you may access your library account and renew your books online through My Library Account.
Renewals are not permitted if a book is overdue or has been placed on hold. To request renewal of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials, e-mail email@example.com in advance of the due date.

- For fines on media equipment checked out from the Library Information Desk, consult the St. Edward’s University, Office of Information Technology, Digital Production Equipment Loan Information.
- Library and Media Center fines may be appealed by filling out the Fines Appeal Form.
The library sends a reminder via e-mail that items will soon be due.
Material “Hold” and “Recall”
To ensure availability of library materials to all members of the St. Edward’s University community, a library item may be recalled by another patron anytime after the loan period for the item. This applies to all types of materials, and all patrons are responsible for returning an item that has been requested by another patron. If an item you need is checked out to another patron, you may request it directly from Library Search.
Once an item has been requested by another patron, renewals will not be allowed.
Search for Missing Materials
If Library Search shows an item’s status as “Available” but it is not on the shelf, please come by the Library Information Desk for assistance.
Lost & Damaged Materials
Patrons are responsible for lost or damaged materials. Patrons will be charged a replacement fee reflecting the cost of any lost item(s). A repair cost, as determined by the Collection Development Librarian, will be charged for damaged materials.
Patrons are ‘delinquent’ when borrowed materials are overdue or fees are unpaid. Patrons with books or any other items due and/or with fines should pay their fines to avoid being barred from enrolling in classes. Patrons with books due and/or fines imposed past one semester must clear these fines in order to order transcripts or borrow additional library materials. For any questions concerning library accounts, call (512) 416-5869 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Use of Off-campus Libraries
St. Edward’s University community members may borrow books directly from many other libraries in Texas through the TexShare Library Card Program . This program allows students, faculty, and staff to borrow books from area public and private universities and colleges as well as public libraries.
If the library does not own the book or have access to the full text of a journal article which you need, you may request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
Libraries all over the world participate in Interlibrary Loan (ILL) in a cooperative effort to provide articles, books, and other materials to researchers, students, and others.
St. Edward’s University Alumni and TexShare Visitors
The public is welcome to use any of the materials in the Munday Library. However, in order to check materials out of the library, a Munday Library Courtesy Borrower's Card must be shown at the Library Information Desk. The library reserves the right to deny a Munday Library Courtesy Borrower Card to those who consistently disregard the due date of library materials (see “Loan Periods and Number of Items” table above). Visitors are subject to fines for overdue materials and charges for lost materials.
We ask that Courtesy Borrowers recognize and respect our primary function: serving the current student body, staff, and faculty of St. Edward’s University. Refer questions regarding the Courtesy Borrower's policy, to the Library Information Desk at 512-416-5869 or e-mail email@example.com.
Visitors who want to check out books from the Munday Library will need to bring a current, government issued ID and follow either TexShare visitor or Alumni visitor procedures in order to obtain a Munday Library Courtesy Borrower Card.
Munday Library Courtesy Borrower Cards are issued for one year upon verification by Alumni Office.
TexShare Visitors from Area Libraries
Munday Library Courtesy Borrower Cards are issued for one semester. Checkout privileges are granted to TexShare cardholders 18 and older. Family cards are available for public library patrons only. Munday Library Courtesy Borrower Cards will expire on May 15, August 15, or December 15. Faculty visitor cards expire on August 15 of every year.
